Here are some notes on cheap lab equipment if you&#8217;d like to offload some easy steps to your &#8220;branch office&#8221; at home. (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pearlbiotech.com\/hardware\">link<\/a>, bottom of the page)<\/p>\n<h4>Online listings<\/h4>\n<p>Set up some automated alerts on <a href=\"http:\/\/ebay.com\/\">eBay<\/a> for other equipment (scientific cameras, PCR machines, scopes, etc.). I haven&#8217;t found much on <a href=\"http:\/\/craigslist.org\/\">craigslist<\/a>, but there&#8217;s no reason to rule them out, particularly for electronics and computer equipment.<\/p>\n<h4>Shopping<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sciplus.com\/\">American Science &#038; Surplus<\/a> &#8211; A classic. The image above is from their catalog.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.herbach.com\/\">Herbach &#038; Rademan<\/a> &#8211; Mostly electronics and mechanical devices.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mccdaq.com\/\">Measurement Computing<\/a> &#8211; Good, inexpensive DAQs.
