I challenge anyone to find something from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pactecenclosures.com\">PacTec<\/a> that Dieter Rams would want in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/property\/interiorsandshopping\/7987143\/Interiors-Dieter-Ramss-Modernist-home-in-Germany.html\">his house<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The following suggestions might not be Rams-worthy either, but they&#8217;re a step in the right direction. <\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/labrigger.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/racj.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"rackmount, okw\/metcase\" width=\"317\" height=\"205\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2587\" srcset=\"http:\/\/labrigger.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/racj.png 317w, http:\/\/labrigger.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/racj-300x194.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 317px) 100vw, 317px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Metcase<\/strong><br \/>\nThis company makes some decent enclosures (e.g., <a href=\"http:\/\/www.metcaseusa.com\/enclosures\/versamet19.htm\">rackmount cases<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.okwenclosures.com\/products\/okw\/star-knobs.htm\">nice knobs too<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>PC cases<\/strong><br \/>\nRecently I used some PC cases as project enclosures and was pleased with the results. For example, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.logicsupply.com\/categories\/cases\/fanless_cases\">these fanless mini-ITX cases<\/a> (pictured above) don&#8217;t have any drive bays, include some LEDs you can use to indicate anything, and aren&#8217;t terribly expensive.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/labrigger.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/hd.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"hd\" width=\"600\" height=\"424\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2593\" srcset=\"http:\/\/labrigger.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/hd.png 600w, http:\/\/labrigger.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/hd-300x212.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>HD enclosures<\/strong><br \/>\nFor something smaller, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newegg.com\/Store\/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategory=92&#038;name=External-Enclosures&#038;Order=PRICE\">external HD enclosures<\/a> aren&#8217;t a bad bet.<\/p>\n<p>Previously on Labrigger&#8230;<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/labrigger.com\/blog\/2012\/05\/08\/beautiful-enclosure\/\">Beautiful enclosure<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/labrigger.com\/blog\/2011\/09\/01\/project-enclosures\/\">Project enclosures<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p align=\"center\">\n<p>Most project enclosures are cheap and ugly.
