It&#8217;s a small multimeter with no display. It plugs into a smartphone for its user interface and logging data (there&#8217;s a Bluetooth module as well). This approach opens the possibility of developing interesting custom applications that are discussed on the video above, and I&#8217;m sure you can think of other uses as well.<\/p>\n<p>Now they want to take the device to the next level, and produce a product they can sell. The have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/tomwang\/voltset-worlds-smartest-multimeter-for-smart-devic\">a successful Kickstarter<\/a> that is still running, so you can jump on the bandwagon and pre-purchase your own. (Just a little more money and they&#8217;ll add a temperature sensor too.)<\/p>\n<p>Android support is already there. Support for iOS is on its way.
