Then, digital audio technology like the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/ADAT\">Alesis ADAT<\/a> enabled working class musicians to produce high fidelity recordings. The fast development of audio recording technology has pushed prices down and performance up to a point where <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ecnmag.com\/product-releases\/2013\/10\/audio-development-kit-delivers-24-bit-192-khz-audio\">24-bit\/192kHz digitizer kits<\/a> are cheap, and can be customized for specialized applications.<\/p>\n<p>Image processing has been undergoing a similar transformation, and a recent sign of that is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/1623255426\/fps1000-the-low-cost-high-frame-rate-camera\">this Kickstarter<\/a>. This is a high speed camera kit that, for between 300-900 GBP, can offer up to 18,500 frames per second at 64 x 64, or 5,500 frames per second at 256 x 256, or a bunch of other resolution settings.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/labrigger.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/fps-specs.png\" alt=\"fps-specs\" width=\"611\" height=\"733\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4000\" srcset=\"http:\/\/labrigger.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/fps-specs.png 611w, http:\/\/labrigger.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/fps-specs-250x300.png 250w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 611px) 100vw, 611px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Kickstarter is funded, and it&#8217;s still open. There is always a risk with these things, and Labrigger can&#8217;t vouch for it at all.
