There are open source software solutions for voice control, but they aren&#8217;t integrated with hardware, and there wasn&#8217;t really a kit to help one get started. Now there is.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/kck.st\/2bxuMe8\">Here&#8217;s<\/a> an open source kit for adding voice control to whatever project you&#8217;d like. In includes the hardware (including an available microphone array) and software. It&#8217;s something to check out if you&#8217;re interested.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/labrigger.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/untitled.png\" alt=\"untitled\" width=\"401\" height=\"173\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4586\" srcset=\"http:\/\/labrigger.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/untitled.png 401w, http:\/\/labrigger.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/untitled-300x129.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 401px) 100vw, 401px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The people behind this Kickstarter have a decent track record, as far as we know. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seeedstudio.com\/\">Seeed<\/a> is a serious outfit with a history of successfully bringing products to market. So this probably isn&#8217;t a bad bet if you&#8217;re interested. Echo\/Alexa can interface with <a href=\"https:\/\/ifttt.com\/\">IFTTT<\/a>.
