For quicker turnaround, there are other options (and speed isn&#8217;t the only reason to explore these alternatives), including in utero electroporation and local AAV injections. Here&#8217;s another way:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.glab.caltech.edu\/\">Viviana Gradinaru&#8217;s lab<\/a> has been developing methods for delivering viruses intravenously to drive systemic transgene expression. They recently released <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biorxiv.org\/content\/early\/2018\/01\/11\/246405\">a preprint detailing the latest version of their methods<\/a>.
