Together with <a href=\"https:\/\/goard.mcdb.ucsb.edu\">Michael Goard<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/nielllab.uoregon.edu\">Cris Niell<\/a>, we have formed a <a href=\"http:\/\/labrigger.com\/blog\/2024\/01\/04\/out-with-collaborations-in-with-supergroups\/\">supergroup<\/a> that is funded by the NIH BRAIN Initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>NIH-Funded Postdoctoral Position in Visual\/Computational Neuroscience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are excited to invite a self-driven and enthusiastic postdoctoral researcher to our team at the Bionic Vision Lab, University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), led by Assistant Professor Michael Beyeler. Our project, at the exciting crossroads of visual and computational neuroscience, is part of the NIH BRAIN Initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This project seeks to elucidate how the mouse brain processes visual information during active exploration to support visual navigation. <a href=\"https:\/\/bionicvisionlab.org\/publications\/2023-12-v1-mouse\/\">Our recent NeurIPS paper<\/a> highlighted how a multimodal recurrent net can integrate gaze-contingent visual input with behavioral and temporal dynamics to explain V1 activity in freely moving mice.
