3D Printed Equipment from the DeRisi Lab
Posted in Hardware
The DiRisi Lab at UCSF shares their STL files for 3D printing some equipment. There’s a pipette holder, several gel combs, an objective case, and more. You can print your own with your favorite 3D printing firm (Shapeways?), with or without modifications. (link)
That’s cool stuff. I just bought a 3D printer from http://www.BotMill.com for under $1000. It’s up and running and works well.

Iphone case for microscope ocular attachment. I am doing this by hand all the time – this looks like a much better solution, though. Will print it ASAP.
