Voltset – a smart multimeter for your smartphone
We’ve covered Voltset before. It’s a small multimeter with no display. It plugs into a smartphone for its user interface and logging data (there’s a Bluetooth module as well). This approach opens the possibility of developing interesting custom applications that are discussed on the video above, and I’m sure you can think of other uses as well.
Now they want to take the device to the next level, and produce a product they can sell. The have a successful Kickstarter that is still running, so you can jump on the bandwagon and pre-purchase your own. (Just a little more money and they’ll add a temperature sensor too.)
Android support is already there. Support for iOS is on its way. As are Java and .NET APIs, which should enable support for Windows and Linux (from the API, someone would have to write the app and share it).
Thanks guys for the “RE”Cover and thanks so much for continuing to support what we do 😀 Free feel to ping us for more info/questions ! – Ran, Voltset Team
Interesting. This could work with my robotic airplane project, for testing battery consumption while flying in different thermic environments, allowing to stream live data from the LTE connection of the phone to my laptop. Anyone know if this have already been done before?
can I please have the email contact for Ran Ma to discuss how the voltmeter can be adapted for a gamification application for diabetics using RDIF technology and Augmented reality
