3D printed electronics

It’s been promised for a while now, but someone has to do the hard work to make it happen. That inevitably involves some pretty pitiful looking stepping stones on the way to the promised land. So try to ignore the fact that this is among the worst looking 3D printed crap you’ve ever seen and appreciate that it’s 3D printed electronics.
This is the idea:
Autodesk is working on a broad 3D printing platform (called, confusingly, “Spark“) that includes support for 3D printing electronics. The promise is a further leap forward in rapid prototyping of electronics, through their partnership with Voxel8. Currently it’s about $9k USD for one of their printers.
