Michael Graupner has coded a nice program for browsing and managing hdf5 files (closely related to MATLAB files) called hdf5Manager. And it’s open source.

Seems like SDCube is now abandonware. Too bad =(
Looks like a very nice tool! I’m curious if there are any plans to also display image stacks in the same manner. I like a lot the HDF5 format and it seems to gain popularity as well.
Hi Adrian,
thank you for your interest in the HDF5 manager and your suggestion.
The possibility to display image stacks has been added in the most recent version of the HDF5 manager on github. Check it out and let me know what you think .
Cheers,
Michael
Hi,
Is this only implemented on Linux?
Cheers,
Matina
Of course not. It’s a cross-platform code. I have it running on Windows and Linux here.
Let me know if you need some help to get it running.
Cheers,
Michale
