Please enjoy this story from Mistress of the Animals about how her old mentor would keep all of his reviews– in the days of typewriters– and then compare new reviews to his old reviews (typeface, etc.) to infer who the anonymous reviewers were.

Mistress of the Animals proudly signs her reviews (post tenure, she admits). Maybe that’s not for you. At least not yet. To frustrate just the type of forensics described in that story, one easy way is to copy the style of a review you’ve received, or that of a co-reviewer on a manuscript.
